Gloria Blea Johnson, LICSW

I believe that life is a roller coaster ride; some days are good, and some are more
challenging. My role as your therapist is to collaborate with you to help you be more
present in your life. Managing this rollercoaster ride with greater ease can be achieved
through building resilience and identifying your strengths.

Gloria earned her bachelor’s degree with a double major in Psychology and Criminology
from the University of New Mexico. A former recipient of the National Association of Social
Workers New Mexico Presidents’ Award, Gloria has been serving adolescents, young
adults, and families for over 20 years. Currently, a Clinical Social Worker with
Presbyterian Healthcare, she provides substance use disorder and mental health
counseling to adolescents, adults, and groups. Prior to joining Presbyterian in 2012, she
was the Clinical Programs Manager for three UNM School-Based Health Centers
located in nearby American Indian communities for over eight years. Gloria approaches
treatment from a holistic, strength-based and trauma informed perspective that
emphasizes non-judgment. She fosters healthy partnerships with her clients and honors
that they are the authorities of their own life and healing. Gloria is passionate about her
work and believes that recovery truly is possible.
