Professional Life & Performance Coach | Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
For over 15 years, The Life Change Institute has been a transformative force in the lives of thousands throughout the Albuquerque area and beyond.
Shannon Enright-Smith is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Certified Life and Health Coach, Personal Trainer, and Positive Mindset Mentor. As the founder and owner of The Life Change Institute, Shannon is passionate about helping individuals break through barriers and live with greater clarity, fulfillment, and purpose.
After years of working in the nonprofit sector—managing teams, writing grants, and lobbying for policy reform—Shannon realized her true passion lies in face-to-face connection and individualized transformation. She now dedicates her practice to empowering clients in navigating major life transitions, healing emotional wounds, and achieving personal and professional goals.
Based in Albuquerque, NM, Shannon serves clients nationwide, including in California and Texas, as well as internationally.
Clients consistently describe Shannon as warm, direct, and insightful—a therapist, coach, sounding board, and educator all in one. She brings a unique blend of humor, empathy, curiosity, and authenticity to her work, drawing from a wealth of experience supporting individuals through career changes, relationship challenges, retirement, leadership development, parenting, and more.
Her clients range in age from 15 to 75 and come from all walks of life—entrepreneurs, creatives, athletes, attorneys, stay-at-home parents, adolescents, and retirees. Many are highly intuitive individuals facing limiting beliefs, relationship challenges, or periods of transition who are seeking clarity and alignment in their lives.
Shannon's lifelong commitment to service began in the nonprofit world. In 2000, she became Executive Director of Resources, Inc., an Albuquerque-based nonprofit supporting families impacted by domestic violence. Under her leadership, two nationally recognized first-response programs were created, and her work garnered numerous honors. She received the 2003 U.S. Congressional Award “Woman Pioneering the Future,” the 2006 Governor's Award for Outstanding New Mexico Women, and in 2009, was honored with Shannon Enright-Smith Day by proclamation of Albuquerque Mayor Martin Chavez.
Clinical Approaches: Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Life Coaching, Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
